What is a fire association membership?
We encourage everyone to become a member!
- Membership ensures our fire department can continue to operate successfully, payments can be made, equipment can be serviced, and training can be provided. So that our department can best serve you.
- Our fire department is 100% volunteer. This means that we are not tax-based and receive no funds from the county.
- We have always paid our. We have never been in debt, and we own all of our assets: vehicles, equipment, buildings, and land.
- Your fire insurance may be lower because of this department and our three strategically located stations throughout our service area.
- Payment ensures member coverage for an entire year rather than per-incident billing.
- Members support their community, and all the fire department volunteers (firefighters, dispatchers, board members, auxiliary, and anyone else who donates their time).
Remember - this is YOUR fire department!
